I got really sick in February 2020, most likely Covid, I had all the symptoms but testing wasn’t underway then unless you were hospitalised. I had really low energy for about 4 weeks after and got out of breath easily for 6 weeks. It was around then that I started noticing alot of hair coming out in the shower.
I started using a better shampoo and conditioner and it lessened but it wasn’t until the autumn that I noticed how much hair I had lost. I have long hair past my shoulders so I have quite a bit to play with for volume and side parting.
Since then I have been using a shampoo for thinning hair which has really slowed down the shedding, I’ve been microneedling every 1 – 2 weeks, taking biotin, collegen & vitamins. I have heard about covid related hair loss has anyone had any results with it growing back?

The correlation between hairloss and Covid is the fever, in addition high levels of stress will produce increased Cortisol both of which will push the hair growth cycle into early Telogen & Exogen. Try carrying out treatments or take supplements that will increase the blood flow to the scalp ! I am a Trichologist but by no means am I making a diagnosis here, I’m just setting out a hypothesis and giving some general advice. To establish the aetiology of hairloss you really need a proper consultation. Keep positive 👍
