Gezginsel is a free travel app that brings together travel-buddy matching, route planning and a community of travellers. You can meet people planning the same route, create an event and travel together.

On Gezginsel you create an event with the destination and dates you have in mind, or you join an existing one. The app suggests travellers who match your interests and your route; you get to know each other by messaging and plan together.

Yes. Downloading Gezginsel and using the core features — finding a travel buddy, creating events, messaging and reading the blog — is free.

We put safety first with user verification, a reference system, a private-account option and blocking and reporting tools. We recommend meeting for the first time in public places and reading our safety tips.

Gezginsel is available free on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Download page: gezginsel.com/indir.

You create an event in the app and add destinations, dates, budget and your transport and accommodation preferences. You then settle the details in the group chat with the travellers who join your route.

In the app you open the 'Create' menu, enter the event title, destinations and dates, and publish. In a group event the organiser approves join requests; in an individual event people join directly.

You can find travellers on any route, including Cappadocia, the Aegean, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Anatolia, Marmara and abroad. For regional guides, take a look at gezginsel.com/destinasyon.
